Activated Carbon Cartridge
In industrial and water treatment applications, managing chlorine gas overpressure is critical for safety, often using activated carbon to handle excess gas.
The activated carbon absorbs a small amount of chlorine; for example, when you switch to a second chlorine cylinder, through a short shock pressure. A chlorine gas alarm is signalled by the gas warning device only if larger amounts of chlorine escape.
You can connect the activated carbon cartridge directly to the vacuum regulator or at the safety blow-off valve output with the provided PVC hose. As soon as contact with chlorine occurs, the appearance of the hose changes from transparent to milky thus signalling a leakage.
